My Reflection

We are reading the city of ember in the class room. It helps our inferencing and predicting.

So we put all of our ideas on Tagul and it came like this. I found this very easy because I listen well. Next time I should  put more information.

Multiplication Strategies

Reflection:

I was learning how to double and halving,place value and compensation strategy.The easiest strategy was place value because I know how to split number correctly.The hardest strategy was doubling and halving because I need more work on it.

This my Daffodil Diamante poem. I found this piece of work easy because we just need to take ideas from our brainstorm  and put it in our poem. My favourite part of the work is put verbs and adjectives on my poem because I find it easy and fun.  Next time I should put more WoW words to make it more interesting.

Cry of the Taniwha Prejudice Example

In this story Cry of the Taniwha I have been learning  to write Prejudice Example about Cry of the Taniwha.  I found this work easy because  I understand the book very well. My favourite part of this work is  identifying their personalities because it was fun and easy. Next time I should put more information in my prejudice example.

Adding using tidy numbers

Reflection : I have been learning to add numbers into tidy numbers.  I found this strategy hard and tricky because I was doing  stage 6  strategy and before I was doing stage five strategy. My favourite part about this strategy was doing the number line because it was easy and fun.  I think I should work on using bigger numbers like 100's,10's and ones.

We have been learning how to apply paint.We learnt two techniques,

dabbing with a sponge and dragging with cardboard.  I found the

 dragging paint with the cardboard hard because it was my first time doing

it.

We have been learning  to write an effective speech.  I found this easy because I know lots of things about sports. I started with a hook at the start of my speech to make my speech more interesting. Next time I should put more wow words into my speech.

because I have not done this way to solve a problem before.Next time
I should use bigger numbers .

I am learning how to compare fractions.I found this easy  because I know how to compare fractions.
Next time I should use harder numbers and work on my time tables so I can get the answer quicker.

My Reflection
This is my Show Don't Tell story.I could  not use I felt Or I feel in my story I had to show but don't tell.I found this tricky because this was my first time writing this Show don't  tell story.Next time I should put more  show don't tell sentence's.

Understanding a Character's Impact

My Reflection
I was learning to understand the characters impact on the story.
I felt challenged about this learning.
The thing that helped me the most was bouncing idea's from my friends.
My next step would be to use there same idea's when I read other books.
In this work I was writing as one of the characters.

I was learning how to write kennings poem.I felt proud of myself because I looked around the classroom and used pencil cards for idea's.The most tricky part was finding verbs to put in my kenning's poem.Next time I should put more information.

I was learning  how to write Did you ever poem.I felt proud of myself because I used right nouns and verbs.The most tricky part is what to write down and finding idea's.Next time I should put more interesting words and more nouns and verbs.

This piece of work is my  Digram  about Jess and Leslie from Bridge to Terabithia.I found this easy because they both had so much in common.My Next step is to focus on Leslie to get more ideas.

This is my name Art.We used warm and cool colours  on a background of  concentric circles.

Make it & Break it

                                                  

This is my make it and break it to 20.  I had to add numbers to make 20 so I had to do 19+1=20 that equals to 20.  I found this easy because I found a pattern by adding to 20.  Next time I should challenge myself with a bigger harder numbers.  I could also try to use multiplication and division.
